Payment Options

AutomaticPaymentPlan_IconAll students must stop by the business office on or before the first day of the term, regardless of whether or not financial aid or any other assistance is expected to cover any or all of the balance due, to discuss which of the following payment options will be used:

  • Cash, check, or money order payable to Southwestern Community College. If check is written from a bank located outside the United States, please contact the business office for further assistance.
  • MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
  • Approved financial aid.

Student payment plans will be set up on-line and administered through FACTS Tuition Management Company. Payments will be deducted monthly from checking, savings, or credit card account. There is a $25 per term processing fee charged by FACTS. To be eligible for the plan students must have a total bill of $100 or more. Payment plans will consist of 5, 4, or 3 monthly payments depending on the date of the student’s enrollment. Deposits may be required depending on which plan is applicable. Funds will be deducted from accounts on the 5th of the month. Final monthly payment will be paid on or about midterm. Students may click on e-cashier to set up payment plan.

Notice: Southwestern Community College participates in the Iowa State Department of Administrative Services Offset Program. This program allows the State of Iowa to apply any funds owed to the student, such as an income tax refund, to any uncollected educational debt owed to the College.
